Review To A Kill: Bradpitt, the scarecrow

Following my thought that I started in The Daily Cuntpunch (née DCP) comment section, I've decided to ramble about it for more. (If you are an imposter and have no idea what the DCP is, first spank yourself, then go and check out the sidebar.)

I'm a movie junkie, or at least I try to be. Really. I like watching movies and I have always been able to watch more than one right after another, even in a theatre. I quit this habit because I was no longer a college student, nor had I that copious amount of money that was/is needed to go to the cinema. Anyway, I flatter myself that I have some idea about acting, movies and the like. Perhaps you didn't know that I was acting. You know, the exit, stage left type. A little.

So, I was talking about Brad Pitt preventing me from watching a movie with Brad Pitt. I have tried to like him lately, but umm... nope. He rather generates an "eh, whatever" feeling and it has been imprinted in my mind as a Pavlov reflex . I liked him in Fight Club, and he was really good in Snatch; the characters were excellent and he was eligible in both movies. For the record, I like Edward Norton way much better and have a lot more pleasure watching Jason Statham. My problem with Brad Pitt is rather that he is always himself. Bradpitt. He overwhelms the character and what I see is Bradpitt acting up. Mind you, it is not the same as "shine through", I call that talent.

On a sidenote, another guy like this is Tom Cruise, but he is even worse. Bradpitt has his moments, Tomcruise lost it right after sniffing it in Rainman.

I want and will see Inglourious Basterds. There is just Bradpitt, the scarecrow. Although I have to rephrase my thought: neither him, nor Tomcruise can really prevent me from watching a movie. They just reinforce my opinion after seeing their flicks.

Merry Christmas

Hello. Been ages, I know. I was like, wtf, I have a really pretty blog here. I should come more often. Ok, I'm not really back yet, but in the holiday season I thought I'd send out good wishes to everyone and think of each and every one of you who I know here around the internetz.
Enjoy the holidays, rest a lot, eat a little less than a lot and take care.
Merry Christmas, everyone.
